D.C. Memorial The Washington Monument, a memorial to George Washington, our nation's first president, is the most prominent landmark in Washington, DC and stands as the centerpiece of the National Mall.

The World War II Memorial, the newest monument on the National Mall in Washington DC, is a beautiful place to visit and pay your respects to World War II veterans. It is an oval shape with two 43-foot arches, representing the war's Atlantic and Pacific theaters. Fifty-six pillars represent the states, territories and the District of Columbia at the time of the war.

The Kennedy Center The Kennedy Center is the nation's busiest performing arts center, hosting approximately 2,000 events each year for audiences numbering more than 2 million. Since 1971, they have been bringing the world to Washington with magnificent performances of music, dance, theater, and more.

Ford's Theatre The site of the April 14, 1865, assassination of President Lincoln, Ford's Theatre holds a unique place in United States history. The theatre has enthralled millions of visitors since its reopening in 1968, and it is one of the most visited sites in the nation's capital. Ford's Theatre's mission is to celebrate the legacy of Abraham Lincoln and to explore the American experience through theatre and education.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial
The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial pays tribute to more than 17,000 law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty since 1792. This privately funded memorial was dedicated in 1991.
