Two Months Before Your Honeymoon

Do You Need A Honeymoon Timeline? Once you have planned your destination and the logistics have been mapped out, stay organized! About two months before your honeymoon make sure you have the luggage you need for your trip. Be sure you are fully informed about what you can take on your trip and what you cannot take with you. This also means knowing what is allowed on your flight! Be sure you know your airline's carry-on luggage limits. If necessary, purchase travel guide books for and about your destination. Learn the tourist do's and don'tsss to ensure your safety.

Shop early for your honeymoon wardrobe if you plan to shop at all. The last thing you want to do is scramble to find last minute wardrobe items (including lingerie) when your focus should be turned to your fast-approaching wedding day and all the stress that comes with it. If you have pets, be sure to arrange for their care ahead of time.

Make sure you have obtained your marriage license especially if you're planning a destination wedding. In your honeymoon planning, make a packing list so that as the days progress, you can jot down items as they come to your mind. Upon your return from your honeymoon, you can use your packing list as a reference. Confirm your reservations and final details. If you have a travel agent, clarify any gray areas and confirm the details. This may sound unusual, but if you are not family planning right away, don't forget the birth control!

Secure your tickets as the final days approach. Learn how and where to exchange currency if needed and know the locations of ATM's in your destination and learn what symbols they accept (compare with the back of your ATM card beforehand). Make copies of every important document and have a set at home and a set to take with you (including your credit cards and driver's license). Blissful Brides highly recommends that you have the post office hold your mail until you return and temporarily suspend newspaper delivery if applicable. Now that all of the details have been taken care of, you can really enjoy yourself. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs.!

Beach Getaway

wedding fashion Hawaii is one of the most popular honeymoon destinations in the world. Beauty and romance thrive on every island making Hawaii the perfect setting for weddings and honeymoons. Local wedding service providers have years of experience creating memorable ceremonies for couples from around the world.

Hawaii has amazing beaches with surfer-quality waves and romantic scenery. Weather in Hawaii is very consistent, with only minor changes in temperature throughout the year. You can hit the surf by day, and still turn up the romance at night.

Romance

wedding fashion Italy is where the piazzas of Rome and Florence are full of lovers eating at al fresco cafes with strolling musicians nearby. Spend a few days a short trip away in Venice where you can be serenaded by a Gondolier, and set a goal to kiss on every bridge in the city.

Or visit Tuscany where wine tours can be combined with seeing Renaissance churches and lush countryside. Your Italian honeymoon can be as magical and inspired as your imagination allows - drive a Ferrari through the Tuscan hills, enjoy a romantic dinner at a restaurant, or get an exclusive after-hours peek at one of Italy's greatest treasures - the Sistine Chapel.

Adventure

wedding fashion Costa Rica has been called a playground for adults, and for good reason. Not only will you enjoy beautiful beaches and hot nightlife, but active adventurers can do everything from whitewater rafting and mountain biking to surfing and fishing. And, if you're truly daring, consider swinging through the rainforest on a canopy tour.

With the help of an adventure company, you'll use a harness and dangle from a cable from treetop to treetop, all while literally getting a bird's eye view. Last, but certainly not least, Costa Rica boasts one of the top dive sites in the world in Isla del Coco where the reefs are teeming with everything from hammerhead sharks to manta rays.

Honeymoon Basics

Weddng Fashion Your honeymoon is often the first big decision you make together as a couple. Not all newlyweds take a honeymoon, but if you can, do so. It'll help you to recover from the wedding and give you a few much-needed days alone before real life begins.

The first thing you need to do is decide on a budget AND STICK TO IT! Does your wallet allow for a night at a five-star hotel, a discount motel, or something in between? Figure out how much you have to spend beforehand, and perhaps count on some wedding-gift money to add to your stake. The next thing you need to do is discuss your idea of the perfect vacation. This is your opportunity to really communicate your likes and dislikes. Who likes sports? Who likes sun? Who wants to explore an exotic destination? Make a list of the things that mean the most to you, and compare notes. Marriage is going to call for lots of communication and compromise, and this is the place to start.

Once you have compared notes, pick your destination. If you're on a budget, keep in mind that many places adjust their rates seasonally. For instance, it's cheaper to visit the Caribbean in warm weather, and ski resorts that offer a lot of activities (but no snow) in summer will also be less expensive. Blissful Brides has to reiterate: u se a travel agent. It doesn't cost any more, and he or she can make all the arrangements without you having to worry about them. If you're going abroad, leave plenty of time to make sure your passport is current, you have the visas needed. If shots are required, get them well before the wedding.

By the way, when you make reservations, let them know you're honeymooning. People will want to please you (in the hope that you'll return). You may get upgraded to a better room at no charge, receive a welcome bottle of champagne, and who knows what else. Please remember to protect your privacy! This is especially important if you have a destination wedding, where the guests tend to hang around. A honeymoon is for the two of you, period. No kids, no pets, no company (Recommended). Take more money than you think you'll need. (To make things uncomplicated, you may want to pre-pay for everything, or select a resort that offers an "all-inclusive" rate, which usually covers food, lodging, activities, drinks, transfers, tips, and more.)

Something that honeymooners don't usually think of is to schedule time to do nothing at all. You don't want to return home exhausted from a busy honeymoon. While it's great to know you have plenty of options in terms of things to see and do, this is, after all, a honeymoon. After all that wedding planning and stress, take the time to bask in each other's presence. Once you return to the reality of life, it just gets busy all over again. Use your honeymoon to savor what time together (and alone) is like for the two of you. Last, but certainly not least, remember when you return from your honeymoon that although you may be home, the honeymoon doesn't have to be over.Blissful Brides
